(FILA Global) - FILA sponsored athlete Timea Babos has won the WTA Finals doubles title. Babos and her doubles partner Andrea Hlavackova, defeated their opponents Johanna Larsson and Kiki Bertens, with a score of 4-6, 6-4, 10-5 during today's final round at the Singapore Sports Hub. Babos' road to the finals included a semifinal round victory over Martina Hingis and Chan Jung-Yan, the #1 doubles team in the world.
The WTA Finals win capped off a successful season for Babos, as it marked her fifth doubles title of the year and 15th career doubles title. She secured four additional doubles victories in 2017, including wins at the Morocco Open, the Coupe Banque Nationale, the Tashkent Open and most recently, the Kremlin Cup. Babos also reached the women's doubles quarterfinal round at the 2017 US Open.
