(FILA Global) - FILA sponsored athlete Horacio Zeballos and partner Julio Peralta captured the SkiStar Swedish Open Doubles Title after defeating Italians Simone Bolelli and Fabio Fognini 6-3, 6-4 in Båstad.
Zeballos and Peralta needed just 71 minutes to defeat their opponents and secure their fifth doubles title together on tour. Zeballos and Peralta delivered an impressive string of performances in Sweden, dropping just one set over the week of play.
"We feel so happy. This is a really important win for us as a team," remarked Zeballos. "We played a great tournament against great teams like Bolelli/Fognini and Melzer/Petzschner, so we feel so confident after winning."
The doubles victory for Zeballos gives him nine career doubles titles at the ATP World Tour level and is his second of the year after winning the Argentina Open in February.
On the women’s side, FILA sponsored athlete Irina-Camelia Begu secured her second WTA doubles title of the year, after receiving a wild card into the draw at the BRD Bucharest Open in Romania.
Begu and her doubles partner Andreea Mitu overcame Danka Konvinić and Maryna Zanevska 6-3, 6-4 on their way to the title. The win marks Begu’s eighth career WTA doubles title.
