NIP X FILA LAUNCHES ITS FIRST COLLECTION NIP x FILA defines the future style of global gaming

(FILA Luxembourg S.à r.l.) - Stockholm, Sweden: Esports legends, Ninjas in Pyjamas (NIP) announced the launch of the first collection with the global sports brand, FILA. Together, the iconic brands are defining the future style of gaming for fans and players around the globe.

The NIP x FILA Pro Kit, which created a buzz on social media during the CS:GO Paris Major Championship, is now available for purchase. Part of the collection features pants, a zip hoodie and a jersey restyled from NIP’s existing Shinobi Shozoku line. This NIP x FILA drop also includes a fresh new casual line called Omamori with a yukata robe, t-shirts and a hoodie.

Technology and innovation underlined by tradition is the formula behind this collection of elite pro-wear — NIP’s esports prowess merges with the Italian heritage and expertise of FILA. The Fashion Innovation Center (FIC) is behind the technology of the collection’s star piece, the jersey. It has a chip with a unique digital ID that is integrated into each garment and forms part of NIP’s plans for a more integrated gamification strategy.

“A garment with a digital layer has the potential to create value over time…personal value.” says Laura Rojas Uribe, Director of Innovation at NIP “The chip not only holds the history of the jersey, from material sourcing to tournament attendance, but also helps to maximize the in-real-life esports experience across the NIP world”, she concludes. “It’s been super exciting to design our first collection for the esports players and its community. We’re inspired by the pros – how they think and play the game –  but also the NIP brand itself. It’s truly iconic in the world of esports. So we considered their heritage and combined that with the FILA sportswear knowledge and technical functionality for pattern, material and details.” says Torsten Hochstetter, Global Head of Design at FILA
