(FILA Global) - In its Fall/Winter 2018 Heritage collections, FILA showcases its commitment to individuality, power and style, through an original interpretation of sportswear featuring unexpected spins on the brand's iconic silhouettes and details. The company has unveiled its Fall/Winter 2018 Heritage lookbook to showcase the latest men’s and women’s offerings from the brand in the US, UK, and EU.
This season, archival FILA soccer styles are revived, knitwear is reimagined, graphics are repositioned, hardware is reproportioned, and classic garments are reengineered. Radically new looks and vibrant pops of color are balanced by a warm, earthy palette.
For men, 1980’s and 1990’s influences appear in a range of styles that incorporate contemporary takes on tear-away snaps, embroidery, and archival graphics. These design details are paired with nods to signature FILA elements like pinstripes, color-blocking, and staple Heritage hues. The collection also features soft touch fabrics like scuba, Sherpa, and athletic stretch, each paired with more street-forward styles.
The women's collection is all about a fresh assertiveness; new unitards, playsuits, and a range of body-skimming dresses offer an edgy appeal. Additional highlights include statement sleeves ranging from bell and batwing to snapped and removable, and textural elements like placed mesh in cropped tops and elongated stretch shorts. Other key pieces include outerwear options like graphic bomber jackets, snap-off sleeve puffers, and long jackets with an iridescent finish.
