(FILA Global) - FILA sponsored athlete Timea Babos has won the Kremlin Cup doubles title. Babos and her doubles partner Andrea Hlavackova, defeated their opponents, Anna Smith and Nicole Melichar, with a score of 6-2, 3-6, 10-3 in the final round of play.
The Kremlin Cup victory marked Babos' fourth WTA doubles title of the year and her 14th overall. Her doubles success in 2017 has included wins at the Morocco Open, the Coupe Banque Nationale and the Tashkent Open. Additionally, she reached the quarterfinal round at the US Open.
Babos has also qualified for a spot in the doubles field at the WTA Finals, to be held at the Singapore Sports Hub from October 22-29, 2017. This will be the third consecutive WTA Finals doubles appearance for Babos.
