FILA Dominates the Tennis Circuit in South America
(FILA Brazil) – The iconic Italian brand, FILA, is internationally recognized for combining sport and elegance with unmistakable style. Tennis has been a key part of the brand's DNA since the 1970's.

FILA Brazil recently signed Fernando Meligeni, former professional tennis player, as its new brand ambassador for the sport. In the upcoming weeks, FILA will be an official sponsor for three major tennis tournaments in South America: ATP 250 Argentina Open in Buenos Aires, ATP 500 Rio Open in Rio de Janeiro, and ATP 250 Brazil Open in São Paulo.

"Important events like these help us to introduce our new product line and also create a differentiated experience to consumers," said Felipe Rosa, FILA’s marketing manager in Brazil.

In addition to the sponsoring tennis tournaments, FILA has also invested in the development and creation of apparel and footwear that is carefully designed to meet the needs of tennis lovers, and ultimately contributes to better performance on the court. The Cage Delirium is the official footwear of the three competitions. The footwear was created and developed in Brazil and is exported to several countries with differentiations in the sole, to cater to both clay and grass courts. At the Rio Open at the end of the month, FILA will launch two new colors for this tennis shoe.

FILA sponsored athletes, including Janko Tipsarevic, Dusan Lajovic, Facundo Bagnis, Horacio Zeballos, Carlos Berlocq and Diego Schwartzman, will be competing in these events. FILA is also the official sponsor of the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California, from March 6 - March 19. At each of these tournaments, consumers will be able to visit the FILA retail store to shop the newest tennis collections.
