FILA Presents New LR Vicenza Uniforms

(FILA Luxembourg S.à r.l.) - The new LR Vicenza Home kit for the 2022-2023 season, designed and manufactured by FILA, the iconic sportswear and lifestyle brand with a storied heritage in the world of sport, will make its debut on the pitch at the Romeo Menti stadium on Saturday, August 6, during the friendly match against the Champions of Italy, AC Milan. The uniforms were designed in collaboration with the style office at Diesel, a brand within the OTB group, owners of the club.

After more than twenty years, this marks the FILA's return to Italian football. The new uniforms display a bold, innovative style that has always characterized the brand's collections.

The new Home shirt of the biancorossi team maintains the traditional combination of red and white vertical stripes. The graphic pattern is characterised by a thin zigzag and the two tone-on-tone shades of red on the vertical bands. This makes the overall effect more elegant, as does the thin line that divides the white stripes. The same motif continues on the short sleeves, culminating in a red and white hem in a smoother fabric, and with lateral inserts to make the complete look more dynamic.

The main characteristic of this fabric, which is entirely Made in Italy and composed of 78% polyester and 22% elasthane, is the zigzag texture that was designed for heavy perspiration and offers a sense of freshness for those who practice sports daily.

The left breast features a vital design element, the blue R, the historic symbol of Lanerossi, which is also represented on the right side of the shorts and on the front of the socks; on the opposite side is the FILA logo, made of silicone and with a special embossed effect. The Diesel logo is printed prominently at the center, while a silver label has been applied at the bottom right, certifying the product as it reads: “Official Licensed Product FILA/LR Vicenza."

The structure of the back of the shirt maintains the same theme, broken up by the white square containing the shirt number. One subtle detail makes all the difference: two small Rs printed inside the number, a further nod to the heritage that these two century-old brands, the Club and FILA, have in common. The back once again features the shield that is the symbol of the Province of Vicenza, which has been present for some time, underlining the importance of the territory and the club’s closeness to it and to its fans.

The polo neck is replaced by a v-neck, which lightens the shirt and makes it more comfortable.

The match shorts, created in a total optical white hue, are made with a smooth 100% polyester fabric with red contrasting inserts and embossed silicone logos. The match socks are made with a composition of yarns (95% polyamide and 5% elesthane) designed to offer softness and elasticity. The two logos are woven directly into the fabric.

The Away shirt changes direction: it was created in total black “dirtied” by an unprecedented interplay of horizontal grey tones with the FILA logo in full in silicone and the traditional white R inlaid in a red circle. The back of the shirt is a single shade of black and has the same details as the home shirt. Completing the away kit are the shorts and socks, designed in total black with the same inserts of horizontal and vertical red bands as the home version.

The dynamics of the tones with horizontal bands are again revisited on the Third shirt, in a total white version, while shorts and socks are instead presented in red, with white inserts and details. Here the blue R logo also returns.

The goalkeepers’ strips are distinguished by their imposing fluorescent colours: blue for the Home shirt, green for the Away shirt and orange for the Third shirt. The theme of grey tones is only featured in the Home shirt.

FILA and L.R. Vicenza will take the field while bringing together their shared values and objectives, developed out of more than a century of history. The new jouney between the two brands has just begun and will have a thread running through it, a red and white thread, which will place the spotlight on their next adventure: highlighting two brands that align in excellence in products Made in Italy, for sport and beyond. The kits, produced and packaged in Italy, will be on sale beginning August 6, at the LR Store at the Romeo Menti stadium and online beginning next week, on the website www.lrvicenza.net
