(FILA North America) – For the second year in a row, FILA and the BNP Paribas Open have collaborated on limited-edition footwear styles set to debut at this year’s tournament in Indian Wells. The FILA x BNP Paribas Open Original Tennis 2.0 Knit was designed in white with green accents, and the FILA x BNP Paribas Open Drifter features a safety yellow strap in “tennis ball material.”
The FILA x BNP Paribas Open 2.0 Knit ties back to FILA’s custom uniform collection for the BNP Paribas Open. The on and off-court staff will be dressed in a range of FILA apparel, accessories and footwear that blend performance and style. Both the limited-edition sneakers and replica uniform styles for ballkids and officials (navy, white and lime colorway) and volunteers (red and white palette) will be available for purchase within the FILA retail shop on-site.
This year, the retail store will feature an expanded kid’s collection, as well as customization stations and a button bar where fans can personalize canvas totes and trucker hats. In addition, local NBC affiliate KMIR will be broadcasting live from the store, and feature interviews with various special guests including FILA athletes.
Those FILA athletes, such as World No. 5 Karolina Pliskova, World No. 3 Marin Cilic, World No. 18 John Isner and World No. 21 Sam Querrey, will be on-court in Indian Wells while wearing the latest gear from the Sweetspot and Legends collections. The Sweetspot collection was designed with upbeat, jewel-tone colorways such as raspberry rose and blue atoli, and is colorblocked with sharp white, while the Legends collection features a nautically inspired colorway, a mix of yellow, grey, and navy. Both collections are available within the on-site retail store, on FILA.com, and at tennis specialty retailers in the United States and Canada.
