The FILA Museum Welcomes Chinese Delegates

Release Date: 16 Sep 2015
Chinese delegates visit the FILA Museum

(FILA Italy) –

The FILA Foundation was honored to welcome a team of Chinese delegates from Biella’s sister city of Weihai, China on Tuesday morning. The Museum was the first stop on their tour of other Biella-based textile manufacturers, including Cerruti, Zegna, and the Textile University.

During their short visit, the Weihai city authorities enjoyed a short tour of FILA’s archives, which included a detailed account of the brand’s iconic “F-Box.” This was of special interest to the Weihai delegates due to the mutual industrial and economic roots of the sister cities.

“The delegates were pleased to learn about the brand’s rich history,” a source noted. “They were particularly surprised to learn that the brand’s very first products were born in the small town.” Following the Museum tour, the delegates were each gifted a copy of the FILA Story Book, which details the brand’s entrepreneurial legacy through photographs and narratives.

The FILA Foundation has previously played host to a number of athletes and other honored guests from around the world. The FILA Museum is dedicated to furthering the FILA image on a global scale, while simultaneously preserving the brand’s rich Italian history.
