(FILA EU) - Earlier this year, FILA teamed up with VR46 Riders Academy, founded by Valentino Rossi to support young riders to progress to the top of MotoGP, to celebrate the legacy in motor sports.
With team riders living the VR46 philosophy of passion, striving for the unexpected, perseverance, an unconventional mindset, and friendship, FILA found the perfect match with its ever-present efforts to innovate, while breaking boundaries and conventions.
The A/W 2022 collection is the second design collaboration between FILA and VR46 Riders Academy, it’s a fusion of sports and lifestyle, taking cues from the fascinating world of two wheels and at the same time, reimagining FILA’s roots anchored to the world of sports.
The capsule consists of 14 pieces for both men and women, in an assortment of collage jackets, fleece jackets, hoodies, pants, and t-shirts. The color palette continues with black, Calliste green, True red and Safari beige, alongside the Rider Academy’s signature color Safety yellow for the details.
Standout styles in the collection include the men's wool collage jacket and the women's cropped puffer jacket, both in black and Calliste green. Another highlight is the fleece jacket with Rider Academy print on the back. Additional key items to complete the look are the team scarf and beanie in matching colors.
The collection also offers a VR46 version on the FILA Shocket Run. This unisex footwear is both innovative and technical, as well as bold and playful in design. The Shocket silhouette has become recognizable with its asymmetrically designed outsole and oversized heel in a bold 3D design. A two-layer midsole, with different densities for cushioning and balance, and the TPU mid-foot stabilizer for torsion control. In addition, a performance support insole is added for additional support. The upper is lightweight and breathable, and now also features perfectly placed VR46 Riders Academy logos on the tongue and heel.
