(FILA North America) - FILA has teamed up with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products to launch a collaboration inspired by the 2008 sports comedy cult-classic, Semi-Pro. As a nod to the fictional ABA team, the Flint Tropics, the Semi-Pro x FILA capsule was designed with the squad’s famous logo and features a teal and orange colorway that ties back to their uniforms.
The Semi-Pro x FILA range includes a hoodie, t-shirt, shorts, and two Grant Hill 2 silhouettes. Designed in teal, the hooded sweatshirt features the Flint Tropics iconography across the chest, ribbed detailing at the cuffs and waist in white and orange, and additional FILA and Semi-Pro branding throughout. The white tee is decorated with Semi-Pro and FILA logos on the front left chest and “Moon” and “33” on the back, in honor of the film’s title character Jackie Moon. To round out the apparel assortment, the capsule includes white basketball shorts with contrast color side stripes and waistband in the same teal and orange hues.
The Grant Hill 2 sneakers are offered in both black and white colorways and were created with an embossed Flint Tropics logo on the quarter, Semi-Pro branding on the heel, and FILA and Semi-Pro logos on the sock liners. Accents of orange and teal are also featured on both silhouettes. The footwear is packaged in custom shoe boxes with additional FILA and Semi-Pro co-branding.
The corresponding campaign video features FILA lifetime ambassador Grant Hill, who shares the jersey number “33” with Jackie Moon. The footage begins with a silhouette of Moon’s character but in a surprise reveal, it is Grant Hill who showcases the new collaboration.
Beginning on October 25, the complete Semi-Pro x FILA capsule is available on FILA.com, while the Semi-Pro x Grant Hill 2 footwear styles are also available at Champsports.com and select Champs Sports locations. The footwear will launch at Footlocker.com and select Foot Locker locations beginning in November.
