In addition to sponsoring the evening, FILA presented Mr. Lee with a special-edition footwear style. The FILA Original Fitness x Stan Lee was designed to pay homage to signature elements of Mr. Lee’s personal style and characters from the Marvel universe. Only two pairs of the FILA Original Fitness x Stan Lee shoes were made, including one for Mr. Lee himself and one for the event’s Omaze winner in support of Make-A-Wish®.
The one-of-a-kind footwear was constructed in leather and features a FILA cream/FILA navy colorway combination. Ten bold pops of color were hand embroidered on the back collar of the shoe representing Lee’s most iconic Marvel characters, such as Spider-Man, the Incredible Hulk and Iron Man. Also featured on the back collar is the "Extraordinary: Stan Lee" logo, designed for the event.
The sock liners are Spider-Man red, with Stan’s infamous signature in gold, while his notable "NUFF SAID" moniker is visible through the footwear’s translucent ice outsole. The word “NUFF” is on the right sole and the word “SAID” is on the left sole. Additional design elements include pigskin lining and FILA logo hits on the tongue and midsole, with a metallic gold FILA linear logo on the quarter.
To support additional event partners Omaze and Make-A-Wish, a second identical pair of the shoes was signed by Mr. Lee and given to the winner of the auction, who had the opportunity to attend the evening and accompany FILA Influencer and Athlete Manager Sean Lynch onstage to present the shoes.
A second footwear silhouette was designed exclusively for the event’s VIP attendees. This Original Fitness x Stan Lee 2 style incorporates FILA’s iconic silhouette and its white/navy/red colorway with custom elements notable to Mr. Lee. To mimic the Stan Lee 1 custom shoe, the back collar also features embroidery representing Lee’s most iconic Marvel characters. Additionally included on the back collar is Stan Lee’s signature in gold.
In this version, “NUFF SAID” graphics are included on the quarter; the left shoe features “NUFF” and the right shoe features “SAID,” each in a FILA font. The shoe is finished off with a gum bottom.
