Sven Kramer is the renowned Dutch speed skating athlete, currently being sponsored by FILA. Kramer recently entered Korea on the afternoon of January 30, in order to compete in the World Championships hosted by the International Skating Union (ISU) on an individual basis. It was his first visit to Korea in approximately two years, as he last visited Korea in 2014. The interest in Sven has increased, after it was disclosed that he is under negotiations with the organizing committee to be the honorary ambassador of the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. Befitting his namesake as the “ice skating emperor;’ there are increased expectations not only for his performance at the world championships, but also as it relates to the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. FILA is currently in the midst of developing and researching the world’s premier quality Olympic Suit for the Republic of Korea skating national team and Netherlands skating national team to wear at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.
